This type of testing has several advantages in that it automatically documents the results of the tests and is not subject to the changes in the biological sensitivity of the test subject. QLFT based on particle counting is the only field deployable system that can be used to test any type of tight fitting RPE, from P1 FFPs to High specification Full face respirators Costs: £580 to a maximum of 5 delegates and using customer’s Fit Testing Systems as necessary. We can supply PortaCount Pro+ systems for the training at competitive rates. Book both FT1 and QNFT1 courses together to run back-to-back for up to 5 delegates at an inclusive price of £975. Quantitative Fit Testing takes the pass / fail decision away from the person being tested and is therefore a far more objective testing system. Two methods are available. In the first method ultrafine particles within the ambient atmosphere are counted inside and outside the mask and the ratio of the two concentrations is the Fit Factor. A series of exercises defined by the HSE protocol is performed and the fit factor is measured during each exercise. Each exercise must be passed.
