Half Day Introduction to Fit Testing (FT1)

There are two types of Fit Testing and it is important that you only use the appropriate type. This half-day course will introduce the need for Fit Testing to you and to your colleagues. We will discuss what respiratory protection your Responsible Manager has already defined and may well have already deployed to your and your colleagues. We will review terminology, the aims, scope and requirements of a good Respiratory Protection Programme, and what the next steps would be to delivering adequate respiratory protection to your workforce. We will then move onto selecting appropriate Fit Testing Techniques for the respirators you are deploying. The course will end with a review of the course content and an opportunity to define on going development needs for your RPP.

This training session will not be sufficient to enable you to demonstrate Competency against the requirements of the FIT2FIT Accreditation scheme, but is an essential primer leading to either of the following two seminars.
