Even high fliers need a lift Maybe you are already happy that you can present well, in meetings or conferences, but no one has all the answers. We can all do things better. For example, one issue I see all too often is when a great presentation is spoiled at the last moment when the question and answer session demonstrates a keen lack of preparation. Too many presenters come off stage and breath a sigh of relief that no one had asked them any questions. How bad is that?? What a great opportunity missed, what a sad misunderstanding of what happened out there! They should have wanted questions but thought that because there weren't any then everyone understood everything. With the best will in the world that is far from likely. What is more likely is that too little rather than too much was understood. What about interview technique? Not a job interview (although most of what we coach in has a real impact on recruitment success), but what about with the media, newspapers, TV, radio? It may not happen that often, but when it does you need to be ready. There will be no rehearsals, no retakes! The nightmare that still haunts me was a whole day spent driving round Bristol with a TV reporter investigating ultrafine particle pollution from the infernal combustion engine – I learned a lot that day, but it was too late! I think I have destroyed all the copies of that particular feature! We don’t all stand in front of TV cameras everyday, but camera presence is becoming more of a commercial skill with the continuing development of web meetings and webinars. Lot’s of us are used to standing in front of a group of colleagues, but it is a very different kettle of fish from in front of a camera in an empty meeting room! This one-day session is tailored to meet your specific requirements - question and answers, keeping calm under fire, making the last word count, key points, camera presence - whatever you need. We’ve done it, we’ve learned from it and we can help you make the best of your opportunities to influence as well as inform. Because of the intense nature of this course numbers are limited to three delegates |
