Public Speaking

Public speaking is quite different from other types of presentation. For one thing, nearly every search for public speaking on line is prefaced by the words "fear of"! It is not so much technique that people are looking for as some method of overcoming the fear of public speaking.

There are lots of reasons why people are asked to speak in public, but the two main ones are that:

Fit2Fit Fit Test Training

RespiratorFIT2FIT is the new accreditation scheme developed by the British Safety Industry Federation at the joint instigation of that organization and the UK Health and Safety Executive.

TBD Presentations has been actively involved in the development of the scheme so we have been able to develop the very best training tools for those needing to become accredited. Who needs accreditation? Well anyone who wants to offer a respirator fit testing service, either as part of a corporate respiratory protection program (RPP) or commercially on a consultative basis to organisations that issue respiratory protection to their workforce.

Effective Workplace Communication

Roman Forum

It could have been an ill prepared
presentation in the Forum at Pompeii that
failed to get across just how bad things
were about to get!

Many organisations actually believe that communication within the workplace is one of the biggest threats to their future success. Communication is simply too easy in the workplace and as a result there is far too much of it. I used to work with an extremely talented guy (amongst many I should add) but he had a blind spot - he could never decide whom it was he actually needed to tell something, so he pretty well ended up telling everyone - usually in finely drafted, but very long emails. Ten minutes after starting to read one of his emails you were often disturbed to find that although it was of say passing interest, you had just wasted a little slice of your life that you are never going to get back.

Presentation Skills Coaching

The ability to stand up in front of a group of people and deliver professionally is a critical skill that can make the difference between failure and success.

Coaching? Why not "training"? Well, principally because training refers primarily to imparting new skills and knowledge whereas I consider coaching to be the development of pre-existing skills and knowledge. I also consider that if you don’t already have some idea of how to make a presentation then you do need "Presentation Training 101", so drop us an email and we can set something up just for you.
